My Story

My spiritual journey began as a preteen in Pittsburgh, PA, where I’d spend hours at Waldenbooks. I picked up Shakti Gawain’s Creative Visualization and books on meditation and spirit guides—tools that taught me the power of stillness long before I stepped onto a mat.

In 1988 (when I was 16 yrs old!), I started teaching step fitness classes: aerobics and body sculpt, yet it wasn’t until I moved to New York City at 23 that I took my first formal yoga class. Seeking relief from deep anxiety, that first Savasana was life-changing; it felt like a homecoming to the quiet I’d discovered as a teen.

By 2005, I was honored to begin teaching at ISHTA (then Be Yoga) and YogaWorks in NYC, becoming a teacher trainer in 2007. I haven’t stopped since. I have had the great joy of teaching the yoga practices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, North Carolina, Sedona, Pittsburgh, Washington DC, Vancouver, Italy and globally online over the last years! Yoga changed my life, and now, it’s my greatest joy to share that peace with you.
